Dennis Marroquin
Former Dancer

Dennis is one of our newest dancers in SAOCO. He was born and grew up in Guatemala and has lived here in the states for 2 years. He's a "man's man" and spends his days working with his hands.

He likes to claim that he started dancing salsa six months ago. However, that is not true. Remembering back to his first few lessons at Cecilia's, it has been closer to a year. He came to classes already knowing how to dance salsa, but, we set out to re-train him the SAOCO way and he has grown considerably. After months of lessons at Cecilia's, Dennis finally became a legit member of SAOCO although he was already considered one of the family. Being his humble self, Dennis also claims to not know how to dance anything else. But, he dances a mean bachata and is very skilled in merengue.

When not working hard or dancing rueda, Dennis loves to exercise as you can see from the many pictures of his chest throughout our galleries. He also sports a black belt in Tae Kwon Do so don't make him angry! Actually, Dennis is very caring and sweet and would never hurt a fly. If you're trying to find him on the dance floor just look for the great dancer with a BIG smile!
