James Tripp
Dancer/Teacher/Stiffler

Our resident white boy, James, hails from Lackland, Florida and works as a smarty pants or something like that. That is all we know. He started dancing salsa about a year and a half ago and we quickly recruited him into SAOCO. Although his hips were a bit stiff, we knew we could loosen him up. As one of our main teachers, James always brings humor and joy to his lessons as he shows new rueda dancers how to twist a girl all up in the arms and around the neck.

James has previous experience in dancing the Funky Chicken. Having started dancing it at a very young age, he is now at the Advanced Black Belt Master Funky Chicken Dancer level and will be happy to demonstrate it for you at Cecilia's or Chevy Chase Ballroom. James is not beyond goofing it up and that is one of the reasons he is so endearing.

James does have a life outside of dancing. He is an excellent cellist and enjoys road biking, cooking, learning, and reading (must be why he's a genius).
