SAOCO was lucky enough to have two beautiful sisters who dance in our group! Although Marlene has left us, Karmen is with us and growing beautifully as a dancer!

Karmen is also a hair dresser and works with her sister in a salon. Although she was born in Bolivia, Karmen lived in Argentina for 19 years and has lived in this area for just a year and a half. She has danced salsa for about six months - the amount of time she has been with SAOCO - you would never know it was only six months as she is a talented dancer. When it comes time to perform, just know Karmen will be there with the products needed to make our hair gorgeous and shiny! She enjoys rueda as it is distinctive from other types of salsa. She is also a member of a Bolivian dance troupe where she participates in traditional dance forms from her country - one being the "Morenada".
