Leroy Terrelonge III
Dancer/Smooth Operator
Leroy is one of SAOCO's newest members and we would like to make it official with his bio! He hails from Tampa, Florida and previously lived in Boston before moving to this area about six months ago. His parents are from Jamaica which explains his favorite dish/food is ackee and saltfish.
Leroy has been dancing salsa for about two years. About two months ago, he decided to join SAOCO after having attending classes for awhile. We were all pleased because Leroy is an excellent dancer and a smooth lead (hence his nickname given by the writer). He wanted to meet people, spend time dancing, and saw that SAOCO was a fun group. He claims to not dance too much other than salsa because, as we all know, salsa rules! However, Leroy does enjoy hip hop and electronic/dance music and is very musical. He has played the violin and piano and sang in a cappella group.
When he is not dancing, Leroy enjoys playing rugby and is on a local team. He also likes to show off that he knows other languages, travel, read and meet new people. He works as a political analyst and is currently studying for his master's. If you see him out, ask him to dance. He believes a dance should be fun and it totally is when dancing with Leroy!
