SAOCO team member Lynn hails from South Baltimore, Hon! An avid Lindy Hop Swing dancer at the time, she took her first Salsa Rueda class in 2002 when a group of Lindy friends told her to check out this "new dance" called Salsa Rueda. At the time she was thinking "hey, we could steal some moves to convert for swing dancing." However, the Salsa Gods had other plans and the Rueda bug bit her instead. Resistance was futile.

Since then, Lynn has taken lessons from and been a member of many different local Rueda groups in the Baltimore/DC Area. Having decided she needed to party more, she joined SAOCO about a year ago. Her prior dance experience spans 19 years of training in ballet, tap and jazz and 4 years in Swing dancing.

For the last 3 1/2 years Lynn has also been studying the alluring art of Belly Dance and currently performs with Sahara Dance's Raqs Caravan West Student Group. This explains the strange obsession with why she keeps asking SAOCO, "So do you think we can do the Cuban basic with swords on our heads?"

When not dancing Lynn enjoys learning to cook Italian, Chinese, Greek, and other ethnic dishes. She also enjoys collecting inspirational quotations that encourage belief in one's self. Her favorite comes from Eleanor Roosevelt: "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent."
