Dancer/"Little One"

Yolanda may be new to SAOCO but isn't new to the world of rueda. Having sampled a few lessons with SCAM back in the day, she took a six year break from rueda and finally decided to come back and give it a try.

After hearing a strange rumor that Ernesto had advanced beyond the SCAM classes and was now actually teaching AND leading a group, Yoli was impressed enough to come and check out SAOCO. She found it inspiring that others could learn and progress and wanted to do the same. After seeing the closeness of the group and the support given to each other outside of practices, Yolanda was convinced that SAOCO was the group for her and has made incredible progress in her dancing.

Besides her handful of rueda classes in the past, Yolanda has not have many other dancing classes. However, if you've ever seen her dance bachata or hip hop, you know that she's no novice on the dance floor. Its been told she does a mean stanky leg at The Salsa Room from time to time.

When not dancing, Yoli is spending time with her absolutely adorable son and is studying to become a nurse. She is currently our go-to person when we are feeling sick, hurting, or need medical advice (this statement is not supported in anyway by the FDA, the American Medical Association, or any other official groups).
